We have all heard it hundreds of times. A picture is worth a thousand words. And OH if this one could talk. This precious girl is at Section 19-in the middle of rural Swaziland amidst sugar cane fields and too much disease. Hair tainted in color by malnutrition, and the signs of illness due to living conditions. Where is the hope?
We are blessed every day to see the hope. This little girl gets to receive nutritious meals, education, medical aid, and the tangible Love of Christ from a passionate teacher/care giver. The founder of Children’s Cup often said “Hope’s Name is Jesus”. Oh how true, eternal hope, the kind of hope that gets this little girls family away from looking for escape in home brew marulla, or the desperation of selling a child into prostitution.
We get to show her and thousands like her what it is like to have HOPE, what it is like to think beyond today, to dream and to love and serve others. Oh how blessed are we by her! It is wonderful knowing that you are doing what you were created for. Our challenge to those around us “Find what you are passionate about and do that! Serve with vigor! Love like Christ!”
Acts 17:28 For “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
